Retirement and Baby Shower

Dickie retired in April and their girls had a local family lunch and reception at Renita's. Such a fun day. And now they are off and traveling allot. The theme of the reception was beach and of course fishing.

Then mid afternoon we switched from a retirement party to a baby shower for Teresa and Charlus and added some more fun and laughs. Charlus's brother-in-laws were so nice to give him a box of needed supplies to change a baby's diaper. Of course they knew just what he needed as they have experience

Major Remodeling

In mid March we started on a 6 weeks house remodeling job. No, we did not do any of the work our self. To stressful even with a contractor to do it. Was very painful but we do like the end results. These are just a few of the pictures of the major work that was done.

Feburary and March Happenings

Since I am behind on this years posts, will just add several highlights on one post and then be up to date.

Valentine Day was a real sweet day!! I love Gigi's cupcakes so that was the treat for the day along with some beautiful flowers.

March 1st was Tommy's Birthday so the night before we had a snack supper and one of his favorites, Pineapple Up Side Cake.

On his Birthday we went to his favorite restaurant, 111 Forks. This was his meal. Still looks good and it was delicious. I had the same thing.

One morning we looked out the office window and there was a male and female Mallard Duck coming up from the creek. They show up every spring and the male is always so beautiful. Isn't there something wrong with that picture???

New Years in Georgia

We spent New Years week with Greg and family in a beautiful mountain cabin in north Georgia. It was a very special week. The weather was not the best, cold and rainy, but that made for a lot of fun times together inside the cabin in front of the fireplace, eating and playing games.

Christmas Day

Tammy and us went to the Gaylord Resort for their Christmas Buffet on the Riverwalk. We had a great time and had some great food. It was raining when we got up this morning and while we were eating it started snowing so we can say we had a white Christmas.

First course was huge shrimp for shrimp cocktail's. It was soooo good.

Then was salad's. That is Tammy in line dressing her salad.

Some deserts up close. They were yummy. Italian Cream Cake was outstanding. Tammy really liked the chocolate log cake.

We had breakfast in front of the fireplace and then spent the morning there reading and relaxing, drinking coffee and cider.

Thanksgiving Time

Greg's family spent 12 days with us at Thanksgiving. This is a special time because it is usually the one time of year we can all be together. We are to spread out to all end up at the same place at the same time. However, we managed this twice this year. Our reunion and at Thanksgiving.
