Christmas in Disney World

Got up Christmas morning to leave for airport and Disney World and what we had was a white Christmas. First that I can remember. Very pretty and a little interesting getting over the bridges on the freeways. Lots of cars in the ditch but we made it just fine and enjoyed looking at the winter wonderland.

We three families arrived mid afternoon at our hotels. Greg and us at the Dolphin and Tammy at Coronado Springs. She got a super travel agent rate that we couldn't get so we were close but not together. This was a huge tree in the lobby of the Dolphin. It had a train going around it and Garrett enjoyed watching it.

A close up of the train.

For Christmas Dinner we all went to a buffet at the Swan Hotel.

Our 4 charming grandchildren.

We had several visitors to our table.

And Goofy liked me!!!
Alvin liked Chloe and Garrett.
and Lindsay and Cameron.
This is the knife man. The first thing Garrett did at each meal was take up every one's knife. Why? I don't know.
After dinner we went for a walk on the Disney Boardwalk. Some even ate ice cream and pastry's!! How? Don't know, I couldn't. The lights across the lake is Epcot. At 9:30 we watched Epcot's fireworks show. Beautiful. We also got to watch it every night after that from our 7th floor room. A perfect spot.
The next morning, Greg's family and us went to a breakfast buffet and some of the Disney characters joined us. The best part of all was watching the kids eyes light up when they came in the room, especially Garrett's.
Donald even like older kids!!!

Minnie Mouse was so cute and so are the folks with her.
This is a portion of Cinderella's castle by day and
this is the castle by night.
Wasn't with the bunch when this picture was taken so not sure where it was but 4 very cute and handsome kids.
Now this is a 4 year old boy's dream to see Lighting McQueen and Tomater. Who knows if I have spelled that one right but I have read allot of stories about him to Garrett.
Lindsay tried out in the Auditions of American Idol and made it for one performance and WOW can that girl sing. We were impressed so we know she got 9 votes.
Saw a parade in the Magic Kingdom. It was a celebration parade. What were we celebrating? They said whatever we wanted to celebrate. Now that is quite a concept.

This is a replica of a street in San Francisco. We have been there and cannot believe how real it looks, hill and all. Greg and family in the middle of the street.
Can't remember if this is New York or San Francisco but Tammy is there on an iPhone!!!!
On our last day we all had lunch in Epcot at the Mexican Restaurant in Mexico area. This is the neatest place and if you ever go to Epcot do not miss this experience. It was to dark inside to show up in the picture but is just like being in Mexico with volcano's about to erupt and complete with a boat ride down a Mexican river.
If you want to see more pictures, I have more. Sounds just like a grandma doesn't it. It was a great trip with lots of good memories that we will enjoy for many years to come.
Now it in just a couple of hours it will be 2010 so HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL.

At Random

Due to software technical difficulties, November and December posts didn't get done. Today I will just post a few pictures from those 2 months.

Chloe and Garrett at Thanksgiving.

Our two cutest grandaughters.

This is one of our handsome grandsons dressed up in his sister's present, a Snuggle blanket. Don't you think he would make a good model for them???

The first part of December we spent the afternoon at the Gaylord Texan Resort in Grapevine. They really have beautiful displays for Christmas and the best part is that it doesn't matter how cold or miserable it is outside, everything is under a dome, so always perfect weather. We had dinner there at the Ama Lur Restaurant. They serve Southwestern Cuisine and it is wonderful. Tommy had Sea Bass and I had Steak. It makes me drool to just remember it.

With your meal you get a basket of Mexican Cornbread and is molded in the shape of a Cactus. So original and very tasty.

A fountain decorated with Poinsettia's.

In the Mexico area is a replica of the San Antonio River Walk.

This is a Gingerbread House made up entirely of edible goodies.

This is the ingredient amounts used in the Gingerbread House being held by an elf by the front Door.

Our next stop is Disney World in Florida with all our kids for the Christmas Holiday. We wish all of you Happy Holidays and a very very happy New Year. WOW 2010!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday Lindsay

Lindsay turned 22 last Wednesday, the 14th, but since she was at OU we celebrated on Saturday when she came home for the weekend. We had a fun day together in spite of Texas barely beating OU.

Lindsay and Ben. Ben is a loyal fan even if he is not a OU student.

Oh yes, coffee will help keep her up till all hours of the night studying.
This is a serious conversation of OU vs Texas. By the smiles, I would say this is when OU was ahead.
Cameron and his favorite girl, Bella.

Wedding Picture

I had this picture included in the next post but somehow it got deleted so will just add it on.

Congratulations Chip and Tara

On Friday we went to the Houston area to attend Chip and Tara's Wedding. It was a beautiful wedding but I am afraid the 3 kids stole the spot light from the Bride and Groom. At least that was the case with me. The Bride was beautiful and the Groom handsome but the 3 little ones took the adorable prize. The youngest one AJ (short for Alexis Jade) is Tara's and Merika, and Nolen are Mandy's. The most touching moments at this wedding was watching Tara being the selfless mother and willing to share one of the biggest events of her life with her 2 year old daughter and Chip was willing to do the same. AJ was never denied a place with Chip and Tara and in many of the pictures, Tara is holding her in her arms. Tara, what this world needs is more mothers like you.

This is the bouquet that Sandra and Dickie sent as they were not able to attend because Dickie had to work that night. It was put on the table where people signed the wedding book.

A beautiful cake and grooms cake.

We got there about an hour before the wedding so got a couple of candid shots. Here is Nolen with his Tux on but not yet his shoes. We were discussing the no shoe issue and little Keagan decided to check out his shoes. Garrett, Nolen gave me a smile as big as Houston when I told him I would show this to his best friend cousin.

Here is Merika and AJ ready for the show to start.

Let the wedding begin.

The just wed happy couple and attendants.

Some of the male attendants. This picture was taken to show you the most handsome one, Nolen.
