Other March Activities

One Sunday we went out to eat with 3 of our young people in our meeting and Sara told the waiter it was Tommy's Birthday so they came out singing Happy Birthday, with a desert and a Sombrero. He was a good sport about it all and we got some good laughs.

One Friday night we had 4 couple's over for dinner and games. This is Tommy playing with the teens before dinner. He doesn't know he isn't a teen anymore and they haven't figured out he isn't!!

Beautiful azalea time. Here are 3 artist painting a beautiful scene.

Tammy is very happy with her new gift from us and Greg's family.

Birthday's in Georgia

March 1st is Tommy's Birthday and the 2nd is Chloe's so off we went, along with Tammy, for 5 days at Greg's to celebrate. Here are a few pictures of the celebrations and other activities while we were there. We had a great time and as usual, 5 day's went lighting fast.

These next 2 pictures is of Tommy and his kids when they spent one day helping on a house being built for Habitat for Humanity. Greg's work was one of the company's volunteering to help build a home. The three of them really enjoyed working together on this project. Their job was to install all the shelving in the closets of the home.

Christmas

Our Christmas was pretty low key. I was still somewhat recuperating from my surgery. Renita invited us over on Friday night for Christmas dinner as Sandra, Dickie, Teresa and Charlus was there and had to go home on Saturday. Tammy and the kids were also there. I did not do good at taking pictures so only have one of that evening. Teresa and Charlus brought a turkey stuffed with a duck, stuffed with a chicken and stuffed with some Cajun dressing. Interesting but good. However, I can't speak for the duck as my mind couldn't quite handle that. On Sunday Tammy joined us for meeting and Christmas dinner which was Italian spaghetti and chocolate cake. Tommy made a fire and we ate in front of it and then took a nap all cozy and warm. It was a good relaxing day. Lindsay and Cameron had gone to their Oklahoma grandparents for the day. Then on Monday we went to Tammy's and ate lunch with her, the kids and their dogs. The white one is Lindsay's and the black one is Cameron's.

Lindsay's Apartment

In mid December we went to Austin on business. Cameron was already back in Dallas for the holiday school break but we got to see Lindsay. On that day we took lunch to her in her new apartment. She couldn't join us eating out as she was waiting to have her utilities turned on. We love her new place and know she is going to enjoy living there. Close to work and just a few blocks from downtown so very convenient for her and a fun place for a young girl to live. We are so proud of her accomplishments and maturity.

Thanksgiving

I am not going to fight with Blogger on getting these pictures in order so just enjoy the pictures. Greg and family came home for the week of Thanksgiving. We did everything from playing games, to attending craft shows, to visiting Gaylord Texan for lunch and of course lots of endless and mindless eating. The highlight of the week was me being sick all week and on Friday giving up and going to the emergency room and from there having emergency gall bladder surgery. So this Thanksgiving wasn't my favorite time but I am doing very good now and look forward to 2012 Thanksgiving and a redo of it all in good health.

Tammy's Birthday

Tammy's Birthday was in September and she wanted to go to Blue Mesa for Mexican Food. Lindsay was in town so she joined us for the festivities. The next week we went to Tammy's apartment to help her hang the picture that we had made for her.

Cameron's Graduation Party

Cameron finished High School last December and chose not to go through the graduation exercise in June so Tammy had a party for him the last of August. Mostly family that lived near by attended. She had it at 4 o'clock on a Saturday at Texas Land and Cattle, with several appetizers and cake. Was really nice and everyone enjoyed seeing each other for a visit. Cameron is now in Austin going to Austin Community College, taking basic college courses. Lindsay has also moved to Austin and is working in her chosen profession of a Esthetician, which is a skin care therapist. They both are really enjoying Austin and live in the same apartment complex right now. Recently we went to Austin on business and took them to dinner while there. Tammy flew down for dinner with us. Just one of the perks of working for Southwest. She has lots of jets at her disposal. :) Since I was raised in Austin, I have lots of great memories of living there and nice to think of 2 of our grandkids living there now.

Cousins, Renita's 2 girls and Sheila's 3 boys.

More cousin's, Kyle and family. Just found out they are having another one.

After the party we went to Tammy's for awhile and then after all the appetizers digested and a few hunger pains set in, we went to Fuzzy's Taco Shop to get refilled. The boy by Cameron is one of his school friends. Such a fun afternoon and evening.
