Hope all of you had a great Christmas Holiday with lots of good times and good eats. We had a nice quiet time. At noon on Thursday, we ate the traditional Christmas fare at a restaurant, turkey, dressing and all the trimmings. Then we traveled 15 miles to Rockwall and stayed at the new Hilton on Lake Ray Hubbard. It was so nice and relaxing. The hotel was mostly empty so very quiet. The hotel is next door to an outdoor shopping and dinning center. We had a lake view room which was beautiful at night.
Reports from Georgia is that Greg and family had a good day and had lunch with some of their good friends there. We have talked to all 4 on Skype and able to see some of the kids Christmas treasures. We are so glad to have Skype so that we can see the kids several times a week and see things they want to show us. Last week I was talking to Garrett on the phone and he held the phone over one of his toys thinking that I could see it. I guess he thought he was Skyping it. Later I was able to view the remote controlled huge spider. Can you believe that his mother, who cannot stand the sight of the smallest bug, bought a spider that looks so real and crawls on the floor?
Tammy and family got back this afternoon from skiing at Santa Fe, New Mexico. Santa Fe has had an unusual amount of snow fall already this year so it was a great skiing experience along with the beauty that comes with snow.

Sounds like y'all had a nice, relaxing holiday. Ours was great in Troup. Now we leave tomorrow for Buffalo, NY for a week to visit Dave's family. We're hoping for lots of snow! Happy New Year! Sheilaaxisca
Sounds like your Christmas vacation was perfectly relaxing! Nice! We had a nice time at Daddy & Mom's -- just too short a trip! :( We head to Momma Martha's on Wednesday afternoon, to ring in the New Year with her.

Wow! I have heard that the new Hilton is nice. Glad you enjoyed it. We love to eat at Ruby Tuesday's over there.
Ohhh...a new Hilton? In Rockwall? That area must be growing still! I like the Kohls and Target over there too! Must check that out sometime! Glad you had a great holiday! Happy New Year!
