The Canyon's was the area in Park City that our condo was in.
This picture was taken off our balcony on second floor. The area of where sunshine meets the shade is the ski run off the mountain in the winter. Now it is just a path but could sure visualize the winter beauty.
The living and dining room.
The kitchen opened up into the living room so was quite spacious feeling.
On my birthday we rode a gondola to the top of the mountian and ate lunch there.
Here we are in the outdoor cafe. For summer the cafe is outside and in the winter is inside.
This is what it looks like before opening and filling up with people.
Main Street of Park City. There is a free trolly that you can ride because the street is on the side of the hill. Easy walking down but hard going back up so the trolly makes it easier.
In 2002, Utah hosted the Winter Olympic's here at Park City. This was a very interesting place to tour. This is the only former US Olympic Park still in operation. The US Olympic team and also the Australian team train here all year long. There is no snow in the summer but the teams still need to train so improvisions have been make that training can go on. The teams train early in the morning and the park opens at 10 for the public to tour and even try their skills on the ski jumps into the Olympic Pool. In case you are wondering, we just watched.
This is the ski runs and jumps. Water flows on the runs and with their snow ski's on, they zoom down the runs and into the Olympic swimming pool. Notice the white bubbly water in the pool. Just before the skier jumps off the run, the water starts bubbling to give them a softer landing like the snow.
Skier about ready to jump and water beginning to bubble.
This is a Zip Line and yes we could have done this but no we didn't.
This is the luge track. It is not operational in the summer.
More ski runs. Not open most of the summer and when it is, it is only for the athlete's and again water is used.
Here we are on our anniversary eating ice cream for our afternoon snack on Main Street.
Here we are on our anniversary having our patio dinner on Main Street.
On Friday our flight left Salt Lake City in the late afternoon so we spent the day in SLC. We had lunch on the tenth floor of a building overlooking Mormon Square. That is the Mormon Temple outside the window.
This is the inside of the restaurant. Tommy with his back to the camera.
This is the Mormon Conference Center. This place is huge and on the roof of the building is an outdoor garden. You can see some trees on the roof. Three waterfalls are flowing from the top of the building.
This trip was probably one of the most enjoyable trips we have ever taken. If you want to see more pictures, we have about 100 more!! Just tried to pick out a few of the most memorable ones.

Oh that makes me lonely for Utah. We moved back here from there 6 years ago. Spent a lot of time in Park City, both at the Canyons, Olympic Park and downtown. Such a great, fun little town. Glad you could go and escape some of this heat! Enjoyed your pictures!
